Personality:

Roxy is like her name: full of joy, life and love to movement. This beautiful bitch is highly intelligent, learns very quickly, is always hungry and can be easily motivated whether during performing obedience or agility exercises, especially when given a piece of food :)

What is very important is that she is not over energetic and can concentrate and focus on the orders and commands I give to her.

When on walks she stays closely to me. However when she plays a few steps away, she rushes immediately to me when being called.

However, she is very fond of rushing to and chasing any 'moving objects' which can be a bit a problem in our European world.

All of the above makes her an ideal dog for sports.

I call her sometimes a 'Texas Ranger' since she is highly convinced that her duty is to protect our family members, home and other property.

Whenever she notices something or somebody suspicious she puts herself in the position of a self-appointed guardian and let us know immediately about the incoming danger.

She is neither afraid of gun shots (which would be good in IPO trainings) nor of New Year's fire works and even nor of veterinarians - they say that they wish all their patients to be as brave as she is.

An ideal, brave and alert watchdog.

She is always ready for action - she loves movement and doing things - but she also loves to do nothing - just sleep at the coach with her head on a soft pillow:)

She loves to cuddle with all our family members. Being close to us at all times is of great importance to her.

She has no aggression to our little son. She brings him her toy which he takes away from her mouth and waits until he throws it. He can put his hand into her food and she steps back.

Roxy is a true Australian Cattle Dog - needs consequent leadership which she rewards with a strong bond, fellowship and obedience maintaining at the same time the characteristics of a free spirit.
